Hi I'm Spencer R. Williams

I'm the oldest of 5 boys. I played on a state champion basketball team. I love life. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest son of the 5 boys that my parents had. I successfully completed one semester of school at BYU-Idaho while working at the local Jr. High School as a janitor. I actually really love my job! I love playing basketball with my friends at school. In high school, I played on the varsity basketball team. We won the state championship my junior year and took 2nd place in my senior year. The loss my senior year is still kind of a soft spot, but I gained so much more from basketball than just a ring and high school glory. I love hanging out with friends. We play games, watch movies, and share and ease one anthers burdens. My family is amazing! I love being around them. I really love making people happy. Whether it is a smile, joke, uplifting or kind comment, or act of service, I just love seeing other people smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I have found so much joy in the teachings and blessings that God gives us. I have learned by fervent prayer, study, and the Holy Ghost that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He suffered and made intercession for all of my sins, and all the sins of this earth so that we may be healed. He is the Son of God. I know that they both came to the young boy Joseph Smith and through him, restored the true church with the fullness of His gospel and power. I know that by the power of our Heavenly Father, Joseph Smith translated the records of ancient american civilizations kept on plates of gold. This is The Book of Mormon and that it contains the word of God. The Bible is also the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. I know that families can be together for time and all eternity. I have received a powerful witness from the Holy Ghost, or the Spirit of the Lord, the truth of all these things and much more! I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and I know it, I live it, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the Lords commandments. I love to know that when I do what is right, I will be safe and the Lord will be pleased. I work hard to keep all of his commandments. I feel like I have exhibited great faith by keeping the sabbath day holy by not playing basketball on His day, by keeping myself clean in word, thought and deed, and praying multiple times daily and reading the word of the Lord. I am a faithful home teacher. I go to assigned families and share a short but edifying message about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I also find opportunities to serve with this calling like shoveling peoples driveways, helping take care of homes while others are on vacation, and bringing treats like cookies and english toffee. I have been recently called to serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am exciter to do this! It shows myself that I have kept myself worthy and strive to keep the commandments. It also is exciting because I get to go and help other people, all of them God's children, to come to know Jesus Christ more intimately and be baptized so that they can live with our Father in Heaven again.
