Hi I'm Bart

I 'm a trainer, in Amarillo TX, for a major wholesale/distribution company in the entertainment industry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a Mormon. I am married and have four children. I am a musician and play the drums. I was in a band, with my brothers, for about 12 years. I love music! I graduated from college with a bachelors in communication (PR emphasis) and minor in business ( HR emphasis). I am currently working as a corporate trainer. I enjoy all kinds of music and I collect games as a hobby (board games, card games, group games, strategy games, children' games, video games, etc.)

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is my life. I am proud to be a "Mormon" as the teachings are true in helping us understand our role of where we came from, why we are here on earth and where we are going after this life. These are questions that people struggle with every day. The knowledge of these questions brings me peace and joy in my life. I know that Joseph Smith, at 14 years of age, went into a grove of trees and prayed earnestly to understand which church was right. Through his intense faith and desire to know, I testify that Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him as two separate and distinct beings. They told him that none were true. These churches had many truths but were mingled with the doctrine of men and not of Christ. Joseph was informed, through time, he would know. I testify that he was visited by Moroni; an ancient prophet in the Americas and through those visits eventually obtained the golden plates, in which he translated through the power of the Holy Ghost. Today we have those pages which are known as "The Book a Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ". I know this book is the word of God and goes hand-in-hand with the Bible. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I testify that today, President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God, just as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses. I testify that through these doctrines, which have been restored to the earth once again, we understand those questions mentioned earlier. I testify that God talks to us today through prayer and revelation. He answers those questions in which we seek. I know that through Temples, families can be together forever. Lastly, Jesus Christ lives and is the head of our church. His teachings are true. He atoned for our sins and will lift our burdens. He will forgive us for our sins if we repent and do good works in his name. He loves us. He is my Savior and Redeemer. Of this I testify, in the name of Jesus Christ-Amen.

How I live my faith

Serving others is so important. We are to love one another. The best way is reaching out and helping others in any capacity. I have had wonderful opportunities to serve people in many parts of the world, through the church, my job and my family. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Rome, Italy. I was married to my wonderful wife and best friend in the Lord's Holy Temple for time and all eternity. I have served for the communities through various jobs that I have had and have assisted in programs such as the ACE program for under privileged kids to graduate and receive scholarships for college. As a trainer in my job, I have had many opportunities to be an example and learn from the student's examples. I have been touched by many and I hope I have touched many using my God given talents to work and train others in regular day-to-day soft skills and technical skills. I have served in many church callings including a teacher for small children and youth. I even served as a early morning seminary teacher for youth of freshmen and sophomore ages. I have had the great opportunity to serve in many leadership callings within the priesthood and was a Bishop over a congregation for almost 5 years. My family and I were very humbled and blessed in working with the physical, temporal, emotional and spiritual needs of those members and visitors. I currently am working with many other Mormon congregations throughout the Texas Panhandle as a representative to the President in this area. I love being a Mormon as many opportunities arise to share my service to others.
