Hi I'm Sam

I am from Arizona. I am a pianist and composer. I am a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I am currently a college student. I had the opportunity to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Uruguay and had so many marvelous experiences and marvelous opportunities there. Music is a huge part of my life. It is a way that we can communicate who we are without words. As a musician, I try to help people not only hear the music, but feel it also. With the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is the same. We must not only hear it but we must feel it.

Why I am a Mormon

It's simple. Trying to be like Jesus Christ helps me to live a better life. After a lot of study and prayer, I have come to know that Jesus is the Christ, and that this is His church on the earth. We have the authority to act in God's name, that can not be found anywhere else. And by that authority, we can be with our families forever. The family is essential to each of our lives. We are part of one eternal family, which is what God has designed for us. As we live His commandments and His teachings and follow the example of His son, our elder brother Jesus Christ, we too me receive that eternal happiness that He has. If someone were to ask me what benefits living His gospel brings me, I would say that it brings me the benefits of happiness and peace in such a world full of turmoil.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is so important. Because music plays a large role in my life, I have had many opportunities to share my music with others. My experience in working with choirs and orchestras has been that music changes people. It draws us to closer to Christ! We all felt a special peace as we expressed our faith through music. Serving others is such an important part of being Christian. We are all trying to become like Christ and follow in His footsteps. Selflessness is what helps us to do so. Living my faith means being selfless. It means putting others needs before my own. Living our faith is expressed by what we do, not only by what we say, think, and believe.
