Hi I'm Jessica

I was born in Idaho. I studied at Utah State University. I volunteered in Cuenca, Ecuador. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in Idaho. I graduated high school in 2009 and studied social work at Utah State University. In the summer of 2011 I volunteered in the orphanages in Cuenca, Ecuador with children of all ages and loved my time there. I love to read, hike, rock climb, and run. I play the piano and the guitar and love to sing. My family breeds German Shepherds and I love my dogs!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that I am a daughter of God and I want to live my life in a manner that is pleasing to Him. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and in return I want to show Him my love by keeping His commandments. For He said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." In order for me to live with my Father in Heaven again, I know that I must follow Jesus Christ's example and live my life the way He did by having Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repenting, being Baptized, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that through him the truth and fullness of the gospel was restored on the Earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the only church that has the proper authority to baptize the way Christ was baptized. This proper authority is called the Priesthood power, which is the power to act in God's name. Without this authority, the sacred ordinance of baptism is incorrect. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the only true church on the Earth and I am a Mormon because I have come to know this for myself. Through diligently studying the Book of Mormon, pondering, and praying to know the truth of these things, you can come to know for yourself as well.

How I live my faith

I have served as teaching the youth as well as adult women. I am currently serving a mission for the Lord to share His gospel with others. This is to help them find true happiness by following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and living His commandments.
