Hi I'm Eliza

I love the Lord and I love my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Looking back, I am blessed. I grew up on a farm, the youngest of 7 children with parents I love and honor. But I was not without tests and trials. I know what it is to have loved and lost or stand alone for what you believe. I have had metaphorical Jordan River experiences where God has asked me to trust him, step into the water, and watch him part the way to my promised land. I have had pioneer experiences when I was asked to leave everything behind and start a new life with nothing. Yet God clothed me like the lilies and fed me like the birds. One thing that life has taught me is that God is my Father and I can trust him.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this gospel, as restored by God, is true. Heavenly Father is real. He listens to my prayers and answers them. Jesus Christ lives. He made the atonement accessible to me so that I could be brought back to my Father in Heaven again. The power of the Holy Ghost is real. The power of the Priesthood is a real. The Book of Mormon is God's word. God continues to reveal his word unto us. Joseph Smith's story is true. President Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet on the earth today. I know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by daily obedience to God. It is in the way that I try to love and serve the people in my life. It is strengthened through prayer and a daily study of the scriptures. It is grown as I exercise my trust in God's love for me during times of trial. I am far from perfect but I trust that Heavenly Father is working with me and others through the sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ, to bring about my happiness as I become more like him.
