Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of four kids and that envelops my whole life! But it is my dream come true. I don't work outside of the home and I love that, but I do some jobs from home that bring in added income. I love being with my family, including extended family. I'm lucky I have a good one. I enjoy doing crafts and decorating my house. I enjoy playing some sports and watching most others. I love having friends. I love being with them and talking to them. I like being current on trends in fashion, decor, and media. I am a college graduate in business. I was also a missionary. I worked in Los Angeles with the Latin community and had to learn Spanish to do so. I love that I had that opportunity. I'm not perfect in any way but just try to live right.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family that has been members of the church since the time of Joseph Smith. They have been strong believers since the beginning and continue to be today. But as every person knows there comes a time of trial. You test what your parents have taught you. Is a stove really hot? Yes, yes it is because I touched one once. Or discovering things because you try them. I had to try guacamole to realize I loved it. I couldn't just take my parents word on it forever. Because I have tried and tested the things the gospel teaches I know for myself they are true. I can't prove them to anyone because the Spirit speaks truth to your heart and soul. I know the Book of Mormon is true because a prophet who wrote part of the book challenged all to pray about it, so I did. I know because of how I feel when I pray, read the scriptures, go to church, and listen to the prophet. It is a comforting feeling, peaceful yet exciting, a promising feeling that surges through my whole body. I know this is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost comes from God and clarifies and testifies of truth. God wants us to have faith but He hasn't left us alone to figure it all out. The loving parent that He is, He has sent scriptures and prophets to lead us. Just as in the times of the Bible, He has provided us with prophets to help us through the problems we face today. I follow our Prophet because I know he tells me what God wants us to know. Joseph Smith was the first of the modern day prophets. Just as in business, you don't know someone is a good employee until you see the work they produce. I know Joseph Smith is a prophet because of what he has done. He translated the Book of Mormon, a book that testifies of Jesus Christ. This leads me to the biggest reason I’m a Mormon, because I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He died for us. He loves us. I know He lives.

How I live my faith

My religion isn't just something I do when it is convenient, politically correct, socially acceptable or when I just have extra time. Everything I do, everyday revolves around my faith. How I dress, what media I chose, what I teach my children, how I talk, how I use my spare time, my social and political view, and what my goals and dreams are... everything. I know my morals are considered old fashioned or constricting but they come from God and because I believe so deeply in Him I chose to live as I do. If you understand that about me, that I believe in God and want to live his commandments, then everything else I do makes sense.
