Hi I'm Natalie

I am a wife, I am a mother, I am a runner, I am a sonogapher and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a Mom. It is definitely a constant challenge, especially when I want to go shopping. Since I was young I was taught the value of an education. My mom got a divorce when I was only two years old. She suffer from a mental illness which made it difficult to take care of me and my older brother so we lived with my widowed grand-mother. My grandma didn't have the opportunity to go to college, she took on many jobs and was always working. My mom went to college but because of her illness she couldn't hold down a job. My mother passed away when I was 20. You never know what will happen in your life so you just need to be prepared. From seeing these two examples I knew that even though I really just wanted to be a stay at home mom, I needed an education because I may have to provide for my family. I went to college right out of high school and got my x- ray license before I had children. But I still wanted to do ultrasound and it was a tough choice but the opportunity arose and even though I was pregnant with my second child I felt like it would benefit my family. I am glad that I have a supportive husband that let me follow my education goals, but even more grateful for a wonderful husband that works hard to support us so that I can stay home and raise our two boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member. My mother, grandmother, great Grandmother, where all born into the LDS faith. I maybe didn't have a strong testimony in my youth. It was just a way of life for me. But I think at some point we all need to be converted and make that choice for ourselves. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he suffered for my sins. I know that Heavenly Father is there and that he loves me and listens to my prayers.I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the only true church and that if I live by the commandment I will be blessed.

How I live my faith

I do the things that I know I need to do to keep me close to my Heavenly Father. I pray, read my scriptures and go to Church. It is definitely a lot harder to fill the spirit at church with kids fighting and playing so I try to find quite times in the day where I can read the Scripture. I also enjoy studying to prepare my lessons that get to teach to the young women. It helps me to remember my teenage years and how difficult a part of my life that was and how grateful I had good leaders that taught me to pray always and to love the temple. I try to return to the temple as often as I can.
