Hi I'm annie

warrior princess, kind of a jazz singer, maybe sound engineer, aaand mormon :)

About Me

I have really good, dorky cool parents. Three siblings, two brothers and a sister, and they're all really weird but good-looking, talented people with beautiful spouses and children. ahhh I love them so much. And the silliest warrior princess friends. I like listening to and singing jazz and r&b, making things for people, reading a lot, good food and different cultures and little monkeys and camping etc etc...but most importantly I'm serving a mission because I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart and I gotta share it. Currently serving in the Idaho Pocatello Mission :)

Why I am a Mormon

I stopped going to church when I was a teenager, I would rather sleep in and waste time. I went against some things I learned growing up, like a dumb kid. I moved to New York when I graduated high school, made some good friends, had funny jobs, fell in love, adventures, made mistakes, went through some painful things... and there was a biiiig empty space where I knew something should be. Even if things were going good, I had this persistent feeling of confusion. Like I was always forgetting something. I had a big wake-up call when I prayed for the first time in a couple years. God answered my prayer in a really sweet, obvious way, like He was just waiting for me to talk to Him. And I was finally willing to get my act together, so He nudged me in the right direction. I moved to the Bronx on my own and started going to church again. Guess what happened? That persistent confusion dissolved and the empty space filled with light. I read the scriptures and I feel that light, I pray, I feel it, I spend time with my family, I feel it, serve in a simple way, feel it. I didn't feel it for so long and now it's just about every day. My Heavenly Father helped me change my life and helped me understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ a little better. I know that this is His church, that He restored it for us so we could learn what He wants for us and how we can really get to know Him. He knows us, we're imperfect but we're important to Him. I'm a mormon because it's the only way to have the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ in this crazy world. Don't take my word for it, ask Him!
