Hi I'm Rick II

I grew up in Gilbert AZ. I am a swimmer. I am serving a 2 year mission in Charlotte North Carolina. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 20 years old, I am in College I am studying to be a Psychiatrist or an Anesthesiologist! I have lived in Gilbert pretty much my whole life, except for a year when I lived in Ohio. I love sports, music, fishing, hunting, and swimming...pretty much anything outdoors is what I live for. I I have not always been strong in the church, but the older I got the more I realized that this gospel is true and right. I have taken a break from school and I am serving as a full-time missionary in Charlotte North Carolina. I proselyte and serve the people 16 hours a day in just about anyway that I can. I love to learn, and plan to attend Medical School after I get home. If I am not outside finding something to do, then you can usually find me somewhere studying a book and trying to learn more about anything. I am a very passionate and sometimes very outspoken, but try to learn how to always become better. This is what I love about the Gospel of Jesus Christ it changes me so often that I am always updating things about me for the better!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because of one reason. I received my own Testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. Without your own testimony, you can not survive in the church. I personally read the Book of Mormon, which helped me to truly understand this gospel. I know that this church is true, I know that Jesus Christ is the savior, and loves us all. I know that Thomas S. Monson, is a true prophet called of God. I know that Joseph Smith saw Jesus Christ and God together, and brought the True church back to earth. I know that this is the one and only church here on earth that has the fullness of Jesus Christ Gospel. I know that if you ever have any questions, that if you read the Book of Mormon, you will understand the truth that I know.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the church, and like I said I have not always been super strong in the church. The more I grew up the more I began to help in the church. I have been a leader in all three of the churches youth program. These three are known as a deacon, a teacher, and a priest. They go from age 12 to 18 and you move up every two years from each one. I have also done more then a 1000 hours of community service in my community and church. I am a Primary teacher, which in our church is a person who teaches the young children. I teach the CTR 7, which is the 7 year old children turning 8. I prepare them for baptism, which they do when they turn 8. I now also live my faith by serving as a missionary for two years leaving behind everything and dedicating myself to the Lord. I have seen throughout my life that we can not just say that we follow Jesus Christ, we need to show people that we follow Jesus Christ by doing what Christ would do if he were here on the earth. I try to do this each day of my life, and as I do I feel the blessings of constantly striving to be a true Disciple of Christ. It is never easy, but it is always worth it!
