Hi I'm Adam Sedgwick Ostergar

I grew up at the beach in southern California. I am a college student in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student who misses his home on the coast of California. Back home I spent my high school days pole vaulting for the track and field team and surfing for the surf team. I have had many opportunities to magnify my life by serving others. I served in my high school's student body government. I was able to go on a humanitarian trip to Peru during high school with nineteen of my good friends. I grew up in a family of five kids. My parents and siblings are so important to me and I love them so much through any small quarrels we might have. I have been born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I love my church. I will be serving as a missionary for the church soon in Italy and I look forward to sharing my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I have been born into and grown up in a Mormon family. I love the teachings of my church and the way it affects my family and I. Through study of the Book of Mormon, I have come to know of it's truthfulness. Through song, the truthfulness of this gospel and the love of Christ has been made manifest to me. I could never deny the truthfulness of this gospel and will live it my entire life. I will continue to participate and follow His gospel because of the joy it brings in my life. The cleansing joy that comes from Christ and his atonement can not be found anywhere else. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds the true gospel of Christ. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of the Lord. The Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. I know that we can all be made clean and pure and happy through repentance and Christ's Atonement and I hope all will be able to experience it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always being open to serve those around me. I strive to exemplify the Savior and the love that he has for each and every one of us. At college, I am able to be a member of a ward of all young single adults. I have the great opportunity of being a counselor in the presidency of our priesthood holding group of men, and I am able to home teach my peers each week. I seek to live my faith everyday by always remembering to do "the little things" such as daily prayer and daily scripture study.
