Hi I'm Hannah Harmer

I grew up in south eastern Idaho. I go to college. I work full time. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have completed three semesters at BYU-Idaho studying a lot of different things and trying to decide what i want to study. For now I've decided to pursue a degree in paramedics. I recently returned from a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where I played in the Nauvoo Brass Band. I play trombone.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon. But until I was out of high school and living on my own at college, I didn't have a testimony of my own. So I started to read the Book of Mormon. At the end of this book, there's a challenge given in Moroni 10:3-5 to ask God if the Book of Mormon is true. When I read those verses, I took the challenge to heart and prayed to know if this book was true. I didn't receive an answer right then but as I looked back at the time I had spent studying the Book of Mormon, i realized how much happier I had been during these months. I wanted to keep that happiness. Right when i realized this, I felt an overwhelming calm feeling. Then the answer came to me. The Book of Mormon is true. After that i started praying to know if other things in the church were true. I went about doing this the same way I had with the Book of Mormon. I would read what I could find about whatever I was questioning at the time and when I thought I had gained a pretty good knowledge of the teaching then i would pray about it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I also know that if anyone wants to know of the truthfulness of this church, then pray about it with real intent then the truthfulness will be made known unto you.

How I live my faith

I love serving the Lord. I have served 7 months as a service missionary in Nauvoo, Illinois. Not long after I returned from that, I decided to serve a proselyting mission. My decision to serve another mission was based on my love for the Savior and my desire to let everyone know about that love which is evident through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly after that I got called to the Tennessee Nashville Mission. I am currently serving in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
