Hi I'm Meredith Horn

I grew up in Oklahoma and Texas. I love soccer and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read novels, sing, dance, and to ride horses. I grew up on a ranch so horses and cattle are second nature to me and I love them! I am currently going to college and one day I would like to major in public relations and get into politics. In school I volunteered for many different organizations. One which I participated in was a drug and alcohol awareness group. I mentored a little girl and I also have volunteered in a special education class, which was an amazing experience. I love helping others and making them feel like they are wonderful. I love the outdoors and anything there is to do active. The warmth and sun are my absolute favorite. I love the country and land where you can ride four-wheelers and horses all day and watch the beautiful sunset.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I honestly cannot imagine life any other way. I have been through times in my life that have been very rocky and times when I thought it was impossible to wake up and function normally the next day. I would pray to my Heavenly Father to just simply help me to get out of bed and to be able to help me put a smile on my face. It always worked if I did my part. I know that when I read my scriptures and I pray, my prayers are always answered. I feel them being heard and I know they are being answered in His way. Being a Mormon has brought so much comfort to me in my life. It has helped me when my family has to passed away to know that it isn't the end and that they are only having a new beginning and that I will see them again. It gives me much comfort in times that I need it most and I can feel the Lord watching out for me. Through many personal experiences, I know the Lord watches out for His children and He will never leave them alone. I would not know this without the Church though. It has taught me so much about myself and about how to treat others. I can say that I know the Lord loves me and knows me individually as He does every single person on this earth. It is such an amazing feeling to know this and this is why I can never question my faith.

How I live my faith

I love my faith by actively helping out in my church. Although I am in college in the ward here I was asked to be over all of the young single women in my ward. I had to coordinate events for all of the girls to get to know one another and to become best friends. When I put more time into helping them come close to one another I became closer to them and the Lord. I knew that by serving these girls and helping them in every way that I possibly could the Lord would be happy and help and bless me. I also helped prepare lessons to teach the girls on Sunday how they can become better women and prepare for their future. This is another way we were able to bring each other together. We were able to share things on common ground and hear each others insights on different subjects. It was great to be able to build each other up in that way.
