Hi I'm McKenna

I grew up in Colorado. I am an athlete and an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of six children in my family. We absolutely have the time of our lives with one another! There is never a dull moment in our home, and we love it. I have had the opportunity to attend college and work towards my Bachelor's degree in Drawing and Painting. I have had a goal since I was young to be an artist and teach others how to convey their emotions through their hands. I not only love to draw and paint, but I am also very athletic and involved in anything and everything that includes the outdoors. I pole vaulted for four years during High School and coached the year after I graduated. I absolutely loved it! I love to go camping, backpacking, hiking, running, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so very grateful to be apart of the LDS faith. I have never experienced so many wonderful miracles and felt such great happiness as I have within this religion. It is filled with such amazing people and beliefs. I know that my Heavenly Father loves each one of us so much that He sent His son to suffer and die for us, so that we can in turn, return to live with Him again. I know that God and Jesus Christ did appear to the man, Joseph Smith, and directed him to restoring the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, is a true book along with the Bible. I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven who watches over me and is aware of my wants and needs. He has blessed us with a prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, who is able to teach and guide us, through divine revelation, what the Lord would have us do. I have no doubt in my mind, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church here upon the earth, and because of this knowledge, I know my family and I will live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ once again.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the LDS Denver Temple where life saving ordinances are performed. I have had many opportunities to serve in many different callings involving youth, and the men and women in my ward. I attend my church meetings on Sundays, where I am able learn more about my Heavenly Father, and my brother, Jesus Christ. I recently received my call to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I will labor for a year and a half, teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the people there.
