Hi I'm Catherine

I am a wife and mother to four little angels. I love to exercise...and eat chocolate! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my best friend for eight and a half years, and have four young children - three boys and one little princess. I was raised in a faithful LDS home with amazing parents and five close siblings. After high school, I attended Brigham Young University, graduating in Psychology, with a minor in Music. I now use my music degree teaching piano to 20 bright students...including two of my own children. I love being a wife, mother and homemaker. I enjoy trying new recipes, baking any yummy dessert, exercising, reading and organizing my house. My husband is hilarious and makes me laugh all the time. We love to watch movies together and country swing dance. My children are my everything. I love to watch them learn and grow, and feel blessed to be their mother. Life is good!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God. I have a testimony of it. I have felt the peaceful confirmation that it is true. I find power in the scriptures, guidance as I pray to my Father in Heaven, happiness as teach my children how to choose the right and peace in knowing that God loves me and that Christ has atoned for my sins. I know that when I make a mistake, I can be forgiven as I truly repent. I have felt the joy of being forgiven. I know that life goes on after death. I have found great solace in this knowledge as I have watched loved ones leave this earth. I know that we have living prophets and apostles on the earth today that teach us the will of God. There is such power and guidance that comes from listening to and following their counsel. Although our family is far from perfect, we can find perfect peace and promise in our faith, and in our Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday as I teach my children about our beliefs and show them how to choose the right in such a crazy world. My husband and I rely on Heavenly Father through prayer and scripture study to guide us in raising our children. It is so nice to have divine guidance when we don't know what we are doing! We have "family time" every night before bedtime, where we gather in our living room and read from the scriptures or church magazines, or watch uplifting gospel videos online. I find great peace and guidance from reading the scriptures each day on my own. I am grateful for the eternal, divine truths that are contained in the scriptures and feel such a difference in my life when I am consistently reading. There is real power in the scriptures! I am thankful to have a Father in Heaven who knows me, loves me and understands what I am going through. I build my relationship with Him through personal and family prayer. I attend church every week where I learn more about my Savior and his atonement, the plan of happiness and many other gospel principles that bring joy and clarity to my life. My calling in the church is to plan and organize monthly activities for the women of our ward. I love working with so many amazing sisters, as we plan programs, meals, crafts and other activities. There is a such strength in sisterhood, as we learn and serve together, and support each other as friends. I am assigned to watch over two sisters in the ward as a "visiting teacher" along with my partner. I love visiting with them, and have developed lasting relationships through this inspired program. It is so nice to have someone watching out for you! Living my faith brings such happiness and direction to my life.
