Hi I'm Britney

I am a mother. I have lived all over the United States. I am learning to snowboard, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to decorate and play the piano. I'm a mother of an active 9-month-old, and my favorite thing to do is to to play with my boys (husband and son). My husband is teaching me to snowboard and enjoys motivating me to do extreme sports with him. I am currently a stay at home mom, and choosing to stay at home with my son has truly been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my family and I always were part of the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When I was younger, I depended greatly on the testimonies of my parents as well as Sunday School teachers. As I got older, my parents encouraged me to develop a testimony of my own. I studied the Book of Mormon along with the Bible, and as I prayed for a confirmation of their truthfulness, I truly felt the power of the Holy Ghost testify to me that these are the word of God. I have further received confirmation that we have a living prophet that leads, guides, and directs this church, President Thomas S. Monson, and that as we pray to Heavenly Father, He will hear and answer our prayers. I believe that each person that individual seeks answers to any question from their Heavenly Father, after first studying it out in their mind and asking with a real desire for an answer, will receive their answer.

How I live my faith

Staying involved in my ward helps me to feel productive and to develop my talents. Currently, I am one of three ward organists (a ward is a group of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that live in a similar area that gather together to worship). Each member of the church is given a blessing so that they can have the Lord's aide in performing callings that might otherwise seem very daunting. I personally I have felt the Lord's help in my calling. I have had only one year of formal organ lessons, and through the Lord's aide I have been able to play the organ for the ward whenever I am asked.
