Hi I'm Megan

My hobbies include running after busses and trains, talking to strangers, speaking Danish, and being a mormon.

About Me

My name is Megan Hadley and I am currently serving a mission to Denmark! I love the Danish people and being able to help them come unto Christ. After, I plan on going to BYU, majoring in Statistics.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the church through faithful parents who always taught me the truth. I was baptized at the age of eight and I've been blessed by that decision since. As I've grown older, I realize how important being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is to me. It's not just following a set of guidelines and going to church, but a personal conversion to follow Christ. He lived and died so that I can return to Him and my Heavenly Father. I know he suffered for my sins in Gethsemane and through him, I can be clean again, even if I make a mistake. I also have deep love of the scriptures and a knowledge of the truths they contain. I started the habit of scripture reading in the eighth grade and have continued it everyday. Reading the scriptures has greatly increased my faith in Christ and through them, I am able to learn the principles of the gospel while also a receiving powerful personal revelation. I know that Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have studied and pondered the messages that are taught in the pages and as I prayed to know of its truthfulness, I received a powerful confirmation by the Holy Spirit that what I was reading was true. Every time I read it, I learn something new that I can apply to my life and my testimony continually grows. I know that we have prophets who live on the earth today, who Heavenly Father has entrusted with all of the keys of the Priesthood. They have the power to receive revelation concerning our day and lead the church in righteousness. I also have a firm testimony in the power of the Priesthood, for it truly is the power of God on earth. I feel so blessed to know that the men I surround myself have the God's power continually with them and can use it to bless everyone they come in contact with. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of God on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing it everyday. It involves me personally growing closer to my Heavenly Father and coming to understand his son, Jesus Christ. I love studying the Book of Mormon and I truly know it is the keystone of the LDS church. I also have a strong testimony in the Bible, which I know is the Word of God. All though I am young, I have served in many callings within my ward. I have been a leader among the youth my age through a variety of callings that I've been able to serve in. I have enjoyed working with leaders and other youth to plan ways to strengthen the testimonies and faith of those around us. I love serving in callings and serving my Heavenly Father.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Megan
The President of the Church is Thomas S. Monson and is commonly referred to as the prophet, but all of the members of the Quorum of the Twelve and First Presidency are also prophets. President Monson is the only one with all of the keys to the Priesthood. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Megan
We believe the Bible to contain essential truths of the gospel, but as it has been translated and re-translated, some of the truths have been lost or altered. Through the Book of Mormon and the Bible, one can know the full truths of the gospel. Show more Show less
