Hi I'm Bel and I am a mormon

Born in Cuba, raised in Spain live in USA. Work as Industrial Engineer in Pharmacy. Husband, Priest and Father of seven.

About Me

I grew up in a comunist country in which religion was persecuted, then in another in which only one church was politically correct and when I arrived to USA, I was so confused about so many churches that I was lost for a while until two elders knocked at my door and my new life started. Since then, I married at a temple, my 7 children are sealed to me, I went back to school to earn my GED, an Associate Degree and a Bachelors Degree at ECU. I work as many diferent jobs as possible but I also enjoy time with family and friends. My personal hobbies include reading (fast reader) collections and travel. Special project is to date my wife often if only for breaksfast or a grocery trip together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was getting in trouble with the wrong type of friends, in a new country without a family support close and having poor command of English and few hispanic people around. At the worst moment, I started to pray that God would get my a better life. A month later, the missionaries knocked at my door ( 1 in 10000 chance) and the discussions started. It took a group of members and missionaries for me to learn the Gospel but the Spirit beared witness very strong so I understood words that normally would not comprehend at the time. After Baptism, it took me several months to built my own testimony and stand as full church member. Genually concern and love from other members was the key for me to start studying the Gospel and start living the precepts and laws of God as taught to us by the Prophets

How I live my faith

I do my best every day. Try to strive because I want to set an example for my children and family first and to the people I come in contact second. We go to church to learn the things we need to know for our salvation. Used every opportunity to serve others, members or non members. Love to serve with the missionaries that come to teach the Gospel in our area.
