Hi I'm Shelly

I am 25 years old, I am an avid runner, I am in love with Old movies, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! As you know my name is Shelly I graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho if 2009, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Sciences. In the past 3 years my husband Chase and I have moved a lot! We have lived in Idaho, Washington DC, Virginia, North Carolina, and currently we are in Alberta. We tend to move a little to much but I have learned to love all the challenges the come with it. I love to run and hope to one day complete my marathon, but mostly I do it to help relax after a long day. I also love old movies, especially anything with Frank Sinatra. I truly believe that actors back then are some of the more talented people ever, they sing, they dance, and they do a beautiful job of pulling you into their stories.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the gospel and I am so grateful for this. Not everyone is as blessed to have been born into a strong christian family. As I left home to attend college I was able to decide more for myself using the principles I was taught as a youth who I wanted to be. I love the gospel. As we look around the world today we can see how much satan has made his presence known, but with the gospel I know that through our Savior Jesus Christ all things are possible. I know that no matter how hard life may become I am never alone. I know that no matter how far you have strayed you are always able to come back. Each day I wake up and make the choice to be a Mormon and I am so grateful for the blessings that it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

One thing I love about the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is that no matter where you go the church is always the same. I have had may great opportunities to serve others in my church. This has been a great blessing to me because it helps me to make new friends and grow outside of my "comfort zone". Last year I had the opportunity to work with the Youth. I was in charge of the 14-15 year old girls. I had anywhere from 9-13 girls. I loved spending every sunday talking about our Savior together. Also on tuesday night we have a youth group night activity. It was so much fun to spend time with the young girls. To see how strong the youth can be. I not only live my faith everyday but I love my faith.
