Hi I'm Riley

I grew up as a farm boy in a small town. I'm an aspiring filmmaker. And I'm a Mormon Missionary.

About Me

I'm a huge hobbyist! I generally like to do anything (with some few exceptions). Particularly anything that involves filmmaking, basketball, soccer, snowboarding, and so on; the list goes on and on. I have just graduated from high school this past year, and I am on a mission in Carlsbad, California.

Why I am a Mormon

I never really had a testimony, or understood why I went to church, until I was around 13 years old when my family moved into a new ward. The members of my new ward were very friendly to me (still are!), just like the members of my last ward. At the time when we moved in, I wasn't really happy; I had lost my closest friends and became an anti-social person. But as my parents kept taking me to church, and the scouts always treating like a friend, I started to smile again, a strange feeling at the time, but now smiling is the norm for me, as well as a good sense of humor. As the years have gone by, I've gained many friends that make me feel loved, and have helped my testimony grow. By the acts of kindness I have received, I have been able to have my own spiritual experiences, and understand the direction I must take if I am to fulfill my duties here on Earth. And that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The best way for me, in my opinion, on living my faith is by sharing it with others. I found that if I tell people what my standards are, and what I believe in, that they are generally willing to help me live that way.
