Hi I'm Josh

I´m 6´ 6" and growing. I love Idaho Potatoes. I´m enjoying the experience of a lifetime in Chile and I´m a Mormon

About Me

I´m the oldest of 4 brothers and a sister. Together with my parents, they are the most important people in the world to me. I love being with them, whether it´s camping, watching movies, or making midnight cereal runs together (great family bonding activity... and it´s delicious, too!). I became best friends with my dad when we started waking up early to play basketball together. He inspired me to work hard and instilled to dream of playing college basketball. I love learning, and can´t wait to continue my college education.

Why I am a Mormon

As a person, I´m something of a perfectionist, and seeing that my life is far from perfect, there are times when I simply get frustrated. As life goes on, I have learned that in my own moments of such frustration, the Lord gives me His hand. Learning of what His teachings offers to me has brought an incredible peace about my life. Frustrating moments still come around, but I´ve learned that He can help me. As a Mormon, I believe that each and every one of us are children of God, and that He gives us the incomprehensible blessing of making promises with Him. I made such a promise when I was baptized on the fourth of February in the year 2000, and I have made other promises since. I know that making such promises (known as covenants) allows the Lord to enter our lives, comfort our souls, and guide us to happiness in this life and His presence in the next.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life it has always been following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Right now is a special time to "live my faith" because I´m serving as a full-time missionary in the great country of Chile. With my newly aquired ability to speak spanish, I talk with people everyday about Jesus Christ and how His teachings can bless our families. I also invite people to come and get to know the beautiful church buildings and friendly congregations dotted throughout this part of the country. I feel a great peace wash over me when I can present someone the Gospel, and then watch their lives change because of it. It´s something that helps me feel even more grateful for the blessings God has placed in my own life. I love it :)
