Hi I'm Waymond

I am a veteran of the United States Navy. I grew up in Georgia. I love aviation and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy the company of my friends and family. I like sightseeing, history, mountain biking and plane-spotting. Most of all I enjoy good food from all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because the church brings me peace through the gospel with the holy ghost as my companion. I spent many years encountering missionaries starting with receiving my first copy of the Book of Mormon in 2003. I never took the time to really read it until I starting meeting the missionaries last year. I was baptized and confirmed Oct 21,2011. Ever since that day it has been a wonderful and rewarding time with new friends and a great outlook on life. The Gospel is a powerful tool and answers many of the questions that I have in my life. Happiness is a wonderful gift but most of all the testimony that I have gained has been a wonderful thing. I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working hard to be a good example to the people around me and I make it point to study my scriptures everyday. I serve my ward by helping with the home teaching program. I also help our ward missionaries by going with them to visit investigators or less active members. Overall I live my faith by serving others around me.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Waymond
The Mormon lifestyle is one that requires dedication and devotion to the church. While many people think that we live dull and boring lives, it is very rewarding to serve the church and the people around us. The people are what make the church and we have an important work to do by sharing the gospel with the people around us. We are required to live to a higher standard but this higher standard is rooted in gospel principles that are very important and rewarding through the many blessings from heavenly father. How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Waymond
It is important to teach children at a young age about modest dress, clean language and good behavior. As many may already know there are things in the world can cause of to fall of the path we made a covenant to stay on when were baptized and confirmed into the church. The simple requirement of modest dress, clean language and behavior further enhances our faith in the principles that are taught in the gospel and through our modern day prophets. It's important that we stay true to our faith and this one of the smallest things that we can do. Plus how we speak and carry ourselves around others says a lot about us. Sometime it's the little things that matter most. Show more Show less
