Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a missionary, I love the desert, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Honestly, my life has not been that interesting. I am just a normal kid who went through normal and average days. I was born in the desert, grew up in the desert, and am currently serving in the driest desert in the world. Over the years I've gotten pretty good at working with computers and I have a great group of friends that love to spend time in a place where we can kick it, a place where we belong.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a convert, as my parents were both members of this Church. I don't have a tremendous story of how I was shown or was given a great realization of the truthfulness of the church. But through sincere prayer to my Heavenly Father I was given my own realization of the truth of the gospel. This realization is like a seed. It started out small but over time and work, the seed has grown tremendously and has become the tremendous system of roots that is my testimony. This testimony has converted me from being told that the Gospel was true to knowing that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. That Joseph Smith was a true prophet similar to those written about within the Bible. That we have latter-day prophets who guide this church through the perilous roads of the world. That we only have to sincerely ask our Heavenly Father about the truthfulness of the Church to get an answer that is indisputable. That every word written in the Book of Mormon rings true to me. I know that my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ live, and that through Christ's atonement we can return to live with him someday.

How I live my faith

I have had tremendous examples before me to teach me what I need to know and how I should act within my church. I am just trying to be this same example for those that are younger than me. The best way that I live within my faith is through my every day life. I try and be an example to those that need one.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Brandon
All throughout the Bible, missionary work is alluded to and is an important part of the Lord's Church. For instance, Paul goes on quite a bit of missions throughout the world. We are merely following the examples of missionaries of the past. Missionaries volunteer 18 months to 2 years of their life to sharing the gospel that they know is true. They do this because they are compelled to share the truth of the gospel. Imagine having information that could help your neighbor tremendously. Wouldn't the kind and right thing to do be to share this information with your neighbor. This is why the missionaries proselyte to those that listen. Show more Show less
