Hi I'm Kylie

I'm a college student studying Exercise Science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a house full of boys and consequently grew up watching hours of football and other sports. As a result, I'm now a Junior in college studying Exercise Science, and in a few years I hope to start a Masters program in Athletic Training so I can continue to be surrounded by the world of sports and athletes. My other passions in life include music, books, cooking, and family. I work in a lab on campus as an office assistant and accountant. I am not yet a wife or a mother, but I hope that one day I'll be blessed enough to be both and have a family as loving and supportive as mine.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the LDS church my whole life and have been raised hearing the teachings and doctrine of the church. Some may say that I am blinded by my heritage and don't see the views or beliefs of other people or religions. However, as I've grown and moved away from home and those people whom I leaned on for so long, I have felt for myself the joy and happiness that his gospel brings me. I have also felt the loneliness and sorrow that straying from it brings. I have come to know of the truthfulness of this gospel and have felt the love of our Savior for me as I make decisions that draw me closer to Him. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints not because my parents would want me to be, but because I know for myself that it is true.

How I live my faith

Today, I am the secretary for the presidency over the women in a Young Single Adult ward on campus. It's my job to make sure the girls are getting visited by the other sisters in the ward and feel welcome. I also help plan activities that allow us to grow together and learn from each other. I absolutely love being able to build relationships with girls I may not have without this opportunity and I love meeting new people who move into the area during the school year. It's incredible to see the growth of faith and friendships between the women as I serve them and as they serve each other.
