Hi I'm Eric

I'm an athlete, I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Eric Danielson. Most of my life has been consumed my music and sports. I play guitar and write songs in a band and i have performed many times. In high school i played goalie for my school's lacrosse team. I love being with those that i love and helping others.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my whole life, but that doesn't mean that I haven't had to find out for myself if this is Jesus Christ's true church. I have been amazed as I've had the opportunity to be around and become friends with many people from various religious backgrounds at the many good people there are in the world. Many churches in the world teach clear and simple gospel truths that can help people increase their faith in Jesus Christ. Though there is a lot of truth in the world, Jesus Christ only set up one church, the church of Jesus Christ, and this is His church. The evidence of this truth is the Book of Mormon. From reading the Book of Mormon daily and praying and asking God if it is true, I've come to know that the Book of Mormon is true scripture and that this church is true. The Book of Mormon has helped me in trials in my own life as well as helped me understand simple gospel truths. It is the key stone of our religion, meaning that it holds up all the other gospel truths we believe in. Take away the Book of Mormon and you take away prophets, revelation, apostles, and everything else that makes this Christ's church. I have peace of mind and complete joy as I continue to practice what I believe and know to be true, and all who are honest seekers of truth will also come to know, as I have, that we have a fullness of truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best i can by striving to keep the commandments that God has given to us. I do that by going to church each Sunday, reading from the Book of Mormon/Bible often and praying to my Heavenly Father. I have strong faith in Jesus Christ, and it is a constant motivator for me to repent and try to become more like the Savior. I'm currently serving a mission in the New York, Rochester Mission where I can help others have the same joy I have in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Eric
The prophet Nephi tells us that we are saved by grace after ALL we can do. Our sins are already covered through Jesus Christ, but that doesn't mean that we are all automatically saved. we must work in this life and repent of our sins if we are to be covered by the grace of God. James in the New Testament tells us that faith without works is dead. faith alone in Christ isn't enough, though faith is required for salvation. Show more Show less
