Hi I'm Bryce

I was raised in Kennewick, Washington. I have a loving family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old. I'm currently serving a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in New Mexico. Before serving my Mission, I went to college at a Brigham Young University-Idaho, and absolutely LOVED it! I can't wait to make it back there. My interests and hobbies, mostly include working with computers. I'm majoring in Computer Information Technologies and love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this religion, and while growing up, I did all that my parents asked of me. We would read scriptures as a family, pray often, go to Church, etc, etc. I did all the things that they asked of me to do. After growing up, I moved away to College, and being at a Church school, I still wasn't exposed very much to the world. I was in a good, clean environment, and I really knew nothing else aside from this. After leaving that shelter, I guess you could say, I filled out my Mission papers, and left to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since being here, I can't even count the number of people that I've spoken with. I've seen really incredible circumstances that I never could have imagined in my former life. I've spoken to so many people who truly weren't happy. They were miserable in the way that they were doing things, but they were so stuck in a rut that they didn't know how to get out. Being raised in this Gospel, I've seen the blessings that come from doing all the things that it requires. I was raised in an incredible family. I love them very much. And I had very little family problems or struggles growing up. I was always raised in a safe home with loving parents. I know that without this Gospel, and the principles of that Jesus Christ taught, I would not have the life that I currently have now. And that's why I'm a Mormon. I'm here to share that with other people.

How I live my faith

I think for the rest of the world, they conform to a religion, but might not necessarily live it. The longer I've served among the people of New Mexico, I've seen this. People say, "Oh, I'm this" or "I'm that." But when I ask them about their beliefs, they don't know what they believe, nor why they believe it. It's simply because they've been raised in that religion, and it hasn't changed them at all. I'm proud to say that being a member of this Church isn't just a "faith" or a "religion." It's a lifestyle. My religion is something that changes me for the better. It's something that helps me to become a better person and and become closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. It's something that I have to practice on a daily basis in order to make things worth while.
