Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Ogden, Utah. I'm a seamstress and an aspiring fashion designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family with amazing and strong female role-models. they taught me how to be a self-sufficient, strong, talented, beautiful woman. i was taught everything a homemaker would ever want to or need to know, which taught me that sewing was my passion in life. along with all of that i was taught how to love, how to care, and how to trust in the Lord and believe that He has a plan for each of us that is ultimately better than anything we could plan for ourselves. my family has seen a lot of loss, but with every loss i have been able to turn to what i know, that my Heavenly Father loves me and that my family will be together forever. with every challenge and trial i receive comfort and peace knowing that my faith allows me to be happy in a very unhappy world and in unhappy circumstances. i know that things will work out. i know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and i feel that love in my life magnified every day. i am proud of my faith, and i'm proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

being a member of this church is not what i am, but who i am. i dont go to church because i know i should, or that i worry what people will think if i dont. i do it because i know how it makes me feel. i know that my life is better when i do the things the Lord has asked me to do. i feel better about myself when i treat myself as a daughter of God. i grew up with examples for both good and bad in my life, but being a Mormon is ultimately my choice, and i know i would not be happy with any other choice. i have received a confirmation from God that i am doing what He would have me do, and i cant and wont let anything sway me from that knowledge.

How I live my faith

People think that because i live in Utah i dont often come into contact with people of other faiths or backgrounds, but for me, that is false. i work for a theatre, and 90% of the people i work with daily do not share my beliefs or morals. i know that as a member of the Lords church it is my responsibility to represent Him in a way that will make Him proud of me. i try to be a good example to those around me. i try to take opportunities to share my beliefs in a non-threatening and appropriate way to my friends and co-workers. i know that by living as a disciple of Christ i will help represent my church in a positive way. i try to fulfill my callings in my singles ward while working and having a social life. i know that when i put the Lord first by doing my callings, paying tithing, reading my scriptures, and praying, i always have time for all of the things that i need to do. the Lord makes more of me than i can make of myself.
