Hi I'm Brett

I am from Colorado, I love sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always really enjoyed playing sports my entire life. Even though I am not always good at certain sports I still enjoy staying active nonetheless. Along with sports I enjoy the outdoors but only occasionally really. I am not someone that goes fishing every weekend, but I like to do it occasionally and I enjoy camping as well. I grew up in the church which has been a great blessing in my life. I like animals and also enjoy traveling. I also enjoy just spending time with friends no matter how boring it may be because it always keeps me entertained. I have a small family with just my parents, one sister, and our dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church which I feel lucky for because I do not know if I would have found it had it not been for my family. I really enjoy being a member of the church for the knowledge it has given me and the standards it has provided for my life. I know some people think the church standards to be restrictive but I think they have been a great blessing to me. They have really shaped my life and made me into the person I am today. I know that without the gospel in my life I would not be anywhere near the person I am today and my life has been much better because of it. The gospel shows you so much information that you have questions on. It has answered questions for me about why I am here, shown me about the atonement, and overall shown me of Heavenly Father and Jesus' love for us all.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the church and as I said it has been a great blessing in my life. I currently teach the twelve to fourteen year olds sunday school class in my ward. I have only been teaching it for a couple weeks and will only teach for a couple more but I have enjoyed it so far and I have already learned from it. I have frequently had callings of leadership throughout my membership in our young mens program. My ward has always been smaller so I have not always had many other peers present throughout my teenage years but it has started picking up recently. I also go hometeaching with a companion where we go to a certain amount of members houses and visit with them and teach them a lesson each month. I have not always done it at much as I should but it has also been a good learning experience. It is also nice to visit with the members at their house to become more familiar with them.
