Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in Utah, USA. I am a Professional Counselor. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Though I grew up in the Church, I had to learn the truth that God has a plan for me, for myself. I did a lot of things I am ashamed of as a young man and learned from my sad experiences, now turned to Joy, through the unfathomable power of Jesus Christ's atonement. I am now happy to be a husband to my loving Wife and the father of our two amazing children. I currently serve as a Chaplain in the US Army Reserve and work as a professional counselor. I love to rock climb, compete in sports, and play video games with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I God has told be be so. There is an almost endless list of blessings that have come into my life because of my obedience to this one commandment (to be an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), but these blessings only serve as evidence that I am living according to God's plan for me. I know that God lives, that Jesus has a Body of Flesh and Bones, and that They, along with the Holy Spirit, love each of us more than we will ever understand in this life; but I also know that we will know the full extent of God's love after we die. I know that I will one day stand accountable before God for how I have chosen to spend my time and energy in this life. I pray that I, and all of my fellow Children of God, will learn to use our precious gift of agency more effectively--for God's Glory!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as an executive secretary for the Stake (oversees 12 wards), a chaplain in the US Army Reserve, and as a counselor at a church sponsored non profit (community resource). I enjoy being with people, learning from them, and having opportunities to help them learn the God has a plan for them, loves them, and cares for them individually.
