Hi I'm Michaela

I'm smiley and positive. I love to sing, play piano, be in the outdoors and travel. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a 21 year old student. I spent 5 months volunteering as an English teach in China to the cutest first graders on the planet. I love to be outside! I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, camping, playing tennis, going to the park, pretty much anything that can be done in the sun! I also go rock climbing a lot which is a lot of fun. I love to sing and play the piano and have been in a variety of choirs. My family and friends are very important to me, and I love spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of this church, but I realized that it was important to know for myself if it was true. I can remember a distinct point in my life while in high school when I went from going to church because my parents were making me, to actually wanting to be there and striving to learn how to become a better person. I am a member of this church because I have read the Book of Mormon and have received an answer from God, through the Holy Ghost, that it is true. I know that Christ did visit his people in the Americas. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for my sins, and because of His Atonement, I am able to repent every single time I mess up.I know that my family can be together forever. I know that Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father love me, that they love all of us, and because of this they have given us prophets on the earth today to lead and guide us. I know that this church is true, and I love it with all of my heart!

How I live my faith

In September I received a mission call to Taiwan, I cannot wait to go spread the gospel to that part of the world. I also serve as a ward missionary, and as a visiting teacher (which means I am assigned to two girls in my ward that I go visit and share a lesson, with a companion). I attend religion classes at my institute 4 times a week to help strengthen my testimony, and I try to be an example to those around me by living what I learn in those classes.
