Hi I'm Shari

I'm passionate about music. I love adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Colorado for about the past nine years, and I love it. I moved around a lot when I was younger because of my dad's work, and moving frequently gave me the exposure to meeting new people often and being outgoing and friendly. I love people and hearing their stories and adventures. I love children, and I am majoring in Elementary Education. I went to BYU-Idaho for 3 years, before I went on my mission. I got my mission call to Malaga, Spain, but I am still waiting on my visa, so I have been temp. reassigned to the Arcadia, California mission. I have 7 siblings; five older brothers, and then a younger brother and sister. My five brothers have all served missions, and I'm just following in their footsteps!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it's da best! Really though, I'm a Mormon because I know that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is true. I know that God has prepared a plan for us to return to Him and Jesus Christ forever. I am so grateful for this Gospel, and the joy and protection it gives me. I love being a true representative of Him, and am so grateful for the opportunity to devote my life to Him 24/7 for the next 18 months, and to be an instrument in His hands. I am a Mormon because the knowledge of this goespel brings me peace in this crazy life, and the knowledge of the fact that we have a true and living prophet, and scriptures to help guide us, is even more evidence to me of God's love for His children. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. So why would He NOT give us a prophet, like He did in the ancient times? I know the fulness of the gospel was restored through Joseph Smith, and I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true and living prophet today.

How I live my faith

I have always been a big believer in the whole "actions speak louder than words" saying. Faith leads to action. I live my faith by being kind, and serving others. I have devoted the past 18 months to serving the Lord, and preaching His gospel. I live my faith by dressing modestly, and treating others with respect. I know that everyone is a son or daugther of God, and they deserve to be treated that way. I live my faith by being postitive and always trying to keep the eternal perspective. Faith without works is dead. We need to continually exercise our faith, and act-and not be acted upon.
