Hi I'm Ed Moulder

I grew up as a protestant and in my mid 30s found the Church. It changed my life for the best I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Pennsylvania as a protestant. I attended college in New York State on a Navy ROTC scholarship. I then spent 4 years in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After the military i went to work for Shell Oil in Los Angeles where I met my wife and we were married. She was a lifelong member of teh Church whereas at teh time we married I had only be a member 1 year. We have 3 daughter one of whom is married and has our only grandchild. After Los Angeles we lived in New Orleans for 4 years and then moved to The Woodlands, Texas where we raised our children. We retired from Shell Oil the end of 2009 and served one Mission. We are now headed to Singapore on a Second Mission. I used to play golf before it started to take too much time from the family. Today my free times is occupied by exercising, reading and doing genealogy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know from heavenly father this is his true church on the earth. Before joining the church at 34 I had stopped attending any Church even though i still believed in God. I had lost the knowledge that we needed be actively involved in religion for it to be meaningful and had come to believe that knowing and beleiving in God was sufficient. The Church has brought Heavenly father actively back into my life and I am much more fulfilled because of this.

How I live my faith

At this point in my life my Church Service is given as full time missionaries. We served from Aug 2010 through Dec 2012. We are schedule to leave on another Mission to Singapore in Jan 2013 for 18 months. The past year we have spent most of our time selling our home and getting our youngest 2 children stable. We our service this year has been primarily indexing since we ahve not been in one location long enough to hold an official calling. We did spend about 3 months as an assistance to our Bishop to help him with Ward Council organization.
