Hi I'm Elicia

I come from a big family that has many crazy and fun traditions. I love being active and playing sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently got married to a wonderful young man who makes me want to be better. I attend the best college and am getting ready to graduate here in the next couple semesters. I enjoy playing almost every sport, reading mysteries and romance novels, and singing at every possible moment. Being a newly wed is fun and exciting! It definitely comes with its challenges, but that's how we grow and learn to be a little more selfless. I'm far from perfect, but I look forward to each day with my husband in this crazy thing called life.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I used to go to church because that was how I was raised. My parents took our family to church every Sunday. As I've gotten older my attitude towards church has changed. I don't go to church because that's what's expected of me. I go to church because I want to go. I want to learn more about the gospel. I want to be uplifted and edified. I need that day of the week where I can feel peace that everything is going to be okay. I know that my Heavenly Father is mindful of me and my struggles. He knows my weaknesses and when I am down. I know that I can receive answers to my prayers when I am making important decisions. He has a plan for me. This gospel brings me true joy. I can't imagine living my life without it.

How I live my faith

Me and my husband recently moved into a small ward. We got called to teach the 9-11 year old boys and man are they a crazy little bunch! They know so much already about the Book of Mormon and the teachings of the gospel. They teach me something new every time we meet. I love serving in my ward. I may not be a scriptorian, but I can sure make a mean plate of treats for the activities! There are so many opportunities to help those around us.
