Hi I'm Nicole

I am a wife who is obsessed with Disney, taking pictures, and eating pizza. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a housewife living in the South while my husband is getting his work training finished. From living in the West all my life, it definitely was a culture shock, but I'm getting used to it. I am still pushing along getting closer and closer to my bachelors degree in Behavioral Science and Marriage & Family Therapy. I love Disneyland and candy. My favorite thing to do is have deep conversations..for hours and hours.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I didn't fully know it was true until I was a teenager. That is what everybody has to go through. My parents testimony got me through my younger years and into my teenage years but it wasn't until I put in the effort of service, fasting, and prayer...THAT is when I got my answer. I like to think that not everybody knows all the answers, because we are always learning new things and growing. But I'm so glad that I was able to receive that foundation as a teenager. It got me through trials, relationships, and hard decisions. I know that this is the true church. I know that it was restored by Joseph Smith and that the Book of Mormon was translated by him. The Book of Mormon was written for OUR DAY. Relating the stories of truth in that book to my life has been the best thing I could have done. I grew up hearing everybody's conversion stories. I waited for the moment I would find out for myself and frankly didn't believe I could have the same clarity as everybody else. But the Church gives you the tools to find out for yourself. I am floored by the amazing leaders that are put into place. Our prophet President Monson is a true seer and revolter. I believe that he receives revelation from God. And currently, that is what we need in these troubling times. I love this Gospel. It is true. And I'm honored to be apart of this work. It's the most humbling, greatest thing I have in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to get involved in every way I can. Currently, I work with the youth program of the church. It is probably the best thing I could be doing out here. I work with the 16-18 year old girls. Being able to see and hear their faith during the lessons and discussions gets me through my week. Being apart of this work is remarkable. I worked previously for a few years as a counselor with a church camp for youth (called Especially For Youth). It inspired me to change my major and focus on helping people.
