Hi I'm Mike

I was born in Hawaii and raised in Las Vegas. I am a student studying to go into the IT field. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a student studying computer science in hopes to develop some video games of my own. I'm a competitive gamer on a few of the MOBA style games, constantly competing in the higher tier ranks of the games. I'm also somewhat of a writer; over the years I've been writing and refining a few books I've written in grade school.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't believe in coincidences. I am a first generation member, whereas both my parents are converts. My father grew up in the slums of his native land, the Philippines. My mother is the daughter of an Idaho farmer. They both found the church in their teenage years and decided they wanted to further their education at a specific college because of a feeling. Both had little-to-no money to go to college, but somehow they both found help in getting the funding to go to college. They met each other at a group date (neither paired with each other), dated each other after the group date, and the rest is history. If two strangers from different parts of the world could find an eternal companion by going to college based on a feeling that they needed to go to that particular college at that particular time, there has to be some sort of guiding hand in all of this. I have since grown up and took the challenge of reading the Book of Mormon and praying to see if it is the truth. Again, the rest is history.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a teacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, specifically the Hmong people, in Minnesota. By teaching, I affirm what I know to be true and help others come to the same knowledge that Jesus is the Christ.
