Hi I'm Seth Johnson

I grew up in Spokane Valley, Washington. I have run a marathon and worked on a reindeer farm in Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing sports such as Ultimate Frisbee, basketball, soccer, handball, archery, running, and almost anything outdoors. When at home, I love to spend time with my family playing board games. I love to work; I have been a soccer referee, a home repairman, a painter, and a farm hand on a reindeer farm in Alaska. I also love to learn, and am currently pursuing a degree in computer science.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been raised in the church, I've been given the opportunity to learn the gospel all my life. I have come to know the gospel is true through personal study of the scriptures and sincere prayer. Knowing this has been a blessing in my life, as I know who I am, where I am going, and even how to get there. I need to follow the teachings in the scriptures and the modern day counsels of our current prophet and apostles to have joy in my life each day. I want to share the happiness I have with others, and I was blessed to do so as a missionary for the church in Sweden.

How I live my faith

I love to do service for others, and for my community. I have been able to participate in many community service projects such as helping set up large community events, volunteering at marathon aid stations, assist in coaching a youth soccer team, environmental clean up projects, and park improvement projects. This love of service comes from my love of the church and of the Savior. I have been in many youth leadership positions in the church, and I have come to know that there are few things greater in this world than serving others. Being able to visit and develop a relationship with members of my community and church through home teaching has allowed me to do more service, but also to get to know and love more people.
