Hi I'm Celia

I'm an artist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Oregon when I was 12 years old. I consider Oregon to be my home now. I'm a recent college graduate with a degree in American Studies. I love learning about American history and culture. I work in the performing arts styling wigs for a theater company.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Latter Day Saint family and have been going to church since I could remember. Seeing my parents live the gospel has strengthened me to strive to live a righteous life. Although I am young, I have gone through many trials that has caused me to turn to my Heavenly Father and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. This gospel teaches about Christ's love for us and I think that gets me through my hard and even my easy days. During college I felt the most alone. Being away from my family, going to school in a new state was really hard. I had to turn to my Heavenly Father because I felt there was no one else. I felt His love and knew he would help me through my hardship. As months went on I saw the blessings and knew my Heavenly Father was helping me get through my trial. After that I realized that I can always turn to my Heavenly Father for anything I need help in, when I am confused or when I am feeling stressed.

How I live my faith

Everyday I strive to do my best to keep my faith strong. I read my scriptures, say my prayers and have faith everything will be okay. Sometimes the simple things help in the long run. I really enjoy studying church history and learning about the early saints and their experiences. Their conversion stories have really strengthened my testimony of the restoration. At times it may be hard to the right things but I know if I do everything the Lord expects me to do I can get through anything.
