Hi I'm Sebastian Medina

I may just be a young man, but I am who I am because of my religion. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was homeschooled, and have worked fast food since I was 16. I've been a pretty regular guy, though! I listen to rock music. I've actually been in a few bands. I'm a drummer, and sing (with a little bit of screaming....) I've been playing music since I was 7. Started with piano, then guitar, drums (my favorite!), organ, violin....blah blah blah you name it, I'll play it. I know you're getting bored of reading this, but I'm currently preparing to serve a full time mission in Spain. I'm a 19 year old kid leaving my family, school, country. Everything. To go share with these people the joy I have. I leave my family for a moment so others can be with their families for eternity. If I know nothing else I know this church is true, and it blesses families.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Maybe I was indoctrinated growing up? Maybe I don't know what it's like to have something else? Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe all of this is a lie and you and I are wasting time here.... But that feeling.....the Holy Ghost testifying. Bring something lost and gone, from beyond the veil. Bringing it back to our hearts, making heaven and earth meet, burning in your being! How could anyone deny that? I'm a smart boy, gonna be a doctor one day! I love science, questions, reasoning yada yada. Ask and you will receive an answer for yourself. But you really have to want that answer. I promise it will come. My name is Sebastian Medina. And I know this church is true. I hope you find that peace too.

How I live my faith

Obviously preparing for a mission sets me on a standard. People are watching me. Waiting for me to mess up. Is it stressful? Yes. But I try my best to reach to those that look up to me. I teach a Sunday school 13-14 year olds. Oh, I remember that age. I try to keep it cool for them, but I also make sure they can see me as a role model. I also serve with the men in my ward. I take notes during the lesson and send them as an email to those who may have missed church, and to those that may want a refresher course. I also serve as a ward missionary which calls for me to visit the members and help make sure we're doing good internally. All of this on top of a full time job, PHEW!
