Hi I'm Emilee

I've been a member my whole life. I love to dance. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Utah my whole life and have grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love to dance. I have done the dance company at my high school which was extremely hard hours and required a lot of dedication to dance as well as keeping my grades up. I've done cheerleading and gymnastics for several years at a local gym and loved it. I currently graduated high school and I'm now going to my first semester of college. It's been really hard but so worth the time and effort.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love this gospel. There is direction in my life. I know what my purpose is in this life and I continually strive to fulfill that. I love the peace and the happiness this gospel brings me. Although there are struggles in life, I know I'm never left alone. I can turn to my Heavenly Father for guidance and for comfort. He is always there for me. He loves me, and I love Him. I want Him to be proud of me as His daughter. There are still things I don't understand about this gospel, and maybe I wont ever fully understand them in this life, but that's the purpose of Faith. I can trust God that everything will work out and be ok. I can trust Him that I don't need to know those things right now. I'm a Mormon because I love my family and I want to be with them forever. This gospel is the only way to be with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I just graduated high school so I don't have any callings or assignments in my ward. I'm very close friends with all the young girls in my ward. I feel a need to set a good example to them by keeping my standards high. Sometimes it doesn't require someone spectacular and involved in a bunch of different things to make a difference. Sometimes its the small things you do or the way you live and act that can impact someone's life more drastically.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Family's can be together forever. Through sacred ordinances performed in God's holy temples, families can be united together forever and live together in Heaven. God loves us and wants us to be happy, so He gave us ordinances so we can be with the ones we love and cherish for eternity. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons love to serve other people. It makes us feel happiness and closer to God. We serve people who are both Mormon and non-mormon. We are commanded to love one another. Service is a way of showing our love for others. Show more Show less
