Hi I'm Kai

I grew up in United States. I love sports. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fun loving young man. I love to participate in any sports, but my favorite is soccer. I also enjoy running in track and cross-country. I also love to go boating and water skiing. If there is a nice hot summer day you would probably find me out on the lake. I enjoy learning new things, especially when it comes to music. I have taken several years of piano lessons and now I am able to play the piano well enough to enjoy it. Currently, I am not going to college. Instead, I am serving an LDS Mission in Washington State.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon for several reasons. Throughout my life, I have been raised in this church. However, before I was baptized I gained a testimony of the church and the Book of Mormon. The peace that this Gospel has brought in my life is unreal. When I first started reading the Book of Mormon, I powered through just to say that I've read it. Now, when I read the Book of Mormon I read and understand the stories and lessons it can teach. Each and every time I read it and have a sincere prayer in my heart I get new knowledge and answers. I am a Mormon because I believe in this Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the truest book on the Earth and it complements the Holy Bible. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and our current prophet, Thomas S. Monsen, is called of God. I am a Mormon because I know that our Heavenly Father knows and loves each and every soul here on earth. I know our Heavenly Father wants nothing but the best for his children. I would not devote two years of my life to missionary service if I didn't know this church was true. For those who are questioning if this church is true or for those who have questioning testimonies, I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon like I have. I promise you that if you pray to know if this is true before and after each time you read you will get your answer. This Gospel has brought joy and comfort at times when I need it most. I know that this will do the same for you.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being involved in the community and serving with other people. From at a very young age to even now, I enjoy being able to serve others and to make an impact in somebody's life. I have served in several callings in my ward. Some of my favorite experiences was planning out and following through with camp outs and other youth activities. I have also found delight in serving as a piano player at my church. In addition to my church service I have served in my community. In my high school years, I have served on student government in several positions. Most recently, I have had the opportunity to serve my school and community as a Student Body President. While serving me and the people I got to work with planned out several activities for the youth in our community. Along with several fun activities, we have planned out several fundraisers for troubled youth in our community. In addition, I am an Eagle Scout. I plan to continue my service to my faith and my community by serving a formal two year LDS Mission.
