Hi I'm Austin Jerold Turner
I live in Kaysville Utah I love soccer, marching band, and having over all lots of fun and laughs. I'm a mormon.
About Me
I am currently 20 years old and am serving in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. I have brown hair and blue eyes, and I am 6' 3". I graduated from Davis High School. I played competitive soccer since I was five years old although I don't play as much now it is still a big part of my life. I played the trumpet for six years and did marching band for three years. I love to run, I did Track for four years running sprints. I love anything outdoors but I can play video and bored games as well. I plan on being a psychologist to help people the best I can. I have often been called a goofball and silly but I just like to go through life with a smile and have as much fun as I possibly can. My motto is to laugh always and smile at least once a day. I have always thought of myself as a over all happy guy and my main goal in life is simple to make others as happy as me.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in the church but I wasn't always the best member. Around when I was thirteen I stopped caring about the church, I stopped praying and I stopped reading the book of Mormon. I felt like none of it mattered and that God didn't care. Soon I became very angry and soon found myself being very rude to everyone around me. After getting into a lot of trouble with my friends I realized that maybe what I was doing wasn't the best thing for my life. I remember one day I thought I would pray for love. I asked my heavenly father to help me feel love in my life and that I really mattered. The next day I just felt so happy I couldn't explain it. I went to school and everyone seemed so happy to see me and I could tell something was different. From that day on I really tried to stay apart of the church. The church gives me joy all of the time. The reason why is because of all the knowledge that I have from being a member. I know exactly who I am, I know what Christ has done for me and what I need to do to to live with God again. The knowledge of having a family forever is something that brings me so much hope and happiness. I can see how the gospel has blessed my life and I will never fall away again.
How I live my faith
I have been a home teacher helping the members of ward. I have been trying to be friendly to everyone I see and help them feel loved. I'm currently serving a mission so I can bring people to Christ that they might feel what I feel everyday. I want to show everyone how happy they can be if they don't accept the gosple well I hope I can at least make them feel like they matter and feel loved. I go about everyday trying to up hold my faith so people don't ever doubt what I stand for or who I am. At any chance I get I try to share what I know to people I know it has blessed my life so why not bless the lives of everyone I see. I also take the time to get to know my Heavenly Father better each day by reading the scriptures, praying and attending church each week. As I do this I have a better understanding of what God has done for us and can hopefully share and show that to others.
