Hi I'm Ram Fernando

I'm from the Philippines.I'm a technician. I love my culture and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Manila, Philippines. I am very blessed to have a big happy family. I have six siblings and I am the oldest son. And because of that I learned to do the basic house skills and such. I do singing and dancing for my past time. I am also a certified electrician, machinists and a general technician. I took Electromechanics Technology at a vocational school for couple of years that made me to learn things by hand and gave me great asset during the early times of my life. They say that I care too much about people and the things that I do, which I think is true. I like seeing people happy and smiling, and it burdens me down when I see the opposite. I don't know the real reason but I feel great when I see people happy and smiling. I always wanted to serve a full time mission since I was little. I wanted to grow and to see my fullest potential. I wanted to gain the same blessings that my parents had when they served in the past. They have become one of my greatest example in my life in putting God in front of their lives. I know that he wants us to be like Him. I have seen many great blessings in doing what Jesus Christ did and I wanted to help others to have the same kinds of blessings that I had experienced in my life. I am currently serving as a missionary in California Rancho Cucamonga Mission. And am loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up in gospel centered background. Even I was raised in the truth , the gospel and the teachings didn't sink in at my early days. I thought it was just simple as words that are spoken but indeed needed to be lived to take effect in our lives. And I have seen a change in my acts. I have felt a sense of direction and peace. I know that God made this things known to man because He loves us. The opportunities are already here and we just need to ponder, accept and act on it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church here on earth. It is established with the proper authority and power given by God to his prophets to lead and to bless His children (us) here on earth. It has been passed down in an unbroken line since God and His son showed themselves to man. The Book of Mormon is true, I know it because I read it and I prayed about it. We can ask our Father in Heaven if these things are true.

How I live my faith

First of all, I live my faith according to our Savior's example. I chosed to be a missionary so that I can help them not only physically but also spiritually. I always keep in mind how would the Savior wanted us to act if He is here with us. Continually applying the things that I learned from the church into my life and sharing it with others helps me remind what the Gospel is all about. The Gospel of Christ has been a great blessing in my life. We need to have faith in Christ or else we can't find hope and happiness in our lives. We need to repent everyday as well. People thought that you only need to do it once then you're good, but its not. It adds up until we see the consequence. Then, we show our commitment to act by being baptized and going to church to remember Him then we strive to constantly live this principles and God blesses us with the Spirit. It takes constant efforts to see the blessings.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Ram Fernando
God is an organize God. He plans everything since the beginning of times what we need in this life. He works by authority. That is the main reason why He gave his only Begotten Son to show the right path that we should follow. We should follow what He did and what He has. Show more Show less
