Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met prince charming almost 5 years ago and we have been happily married for 2 and a half years now. We are expecting a new addition to our family this January...which we are completely ecstatic and terrified about! :) A new adventure for sure! I enjoy training and completing triathlons which encompass both my love for the water and running. I love oreos and peanut butter. I have recently discovered a new passion for listening to books on tape and love to read. The Mormon church is a big part of my life and I am forever grateful for the knowledge and the many blessings I am blessed with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, meaning my parents grew up as Latter Day Saints, or Mormon. However, I am not Mormon simply because my parents are. It is so much a part of me, of who I am, and who I want to become. It is something so real and almost tangible at times. I know the church is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. And through that gospel I have a happier richer life. I have the knowledge of who I am and where I am going. I have the knowledge that prayers are answered and we are not alone. I have direction and freedom. I have my family, for eternity, forever and ever. I am Mormon because I know its true.

How I live my faith

I go to church, simple answer but there is so much significance there. To partake of the sacrament weekly, to renew my promises to my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ is an incredible blessing. To listen to the leaders and members of our church bear testimony and strengthen one another is inspiring. I begin and end my days with a prayer. I study the teachings of the Lord's prophets, both of ancient and modern times. I seek council from the Lord's prophets and leaders open the earth today. I attend the temple and perform eternal work there for family and friends who have passed on. I support my husband. I spend time with my family and treasure those moments. I seek out opportunities to serve my family, my friends, and my community. I pay tithing, 10% of what I earn to the Lord. I have taught children how to sing Primary songs, and worked both with youth and adults as an instructor and in different leadership positions. I have learned a great deal in my callings in the church and am forever grateful for those opportunities to serve and to learn and grow. I try to live each day to its fullest, to be grateful for what I have been given and seek out opportunities to serve those around me. To stand as a witness of God, at all times and in all things and in all places.
