Hi I'm Ralph Hilton

My family moved to SLC in 1959 where I was raised. I learned about God and Jesus Christ early in life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have traveled in many distant parts of the world as a young man. These travels were associated with my fathers work and family vacationing. My mother and father were very connected to the Middle East and regions round about, due to their travels and missionary interests. I lived in Cairo Egypt during my senior year in High School. The experiences there, caused me to look at changing my focus in life away from the natural tendencies of a teen, into seeking more of a spiritual connection to God. This connection has blessed my life in numberless ways. I have been blessed with an inquisitive mind and many learning opportunities to discover how things work. I'm a husband and father to 4 boys and 1 girl. My wife and I have been married over 32 wonderful years. I have selected as my profession to be an engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. I feel close to the power of God when I serve in the LDS Church. This is pure undefiled joy that few experience. My fears of the future fade, when I feel the love of God through the power of the Holy Ghost. I have confidence in the general leaders of the Church to assist me in learning correct principals. Truly they are prophets, called in modern times to bless all of our lives. The holy scriptures include, the King James version of the Bible, and the Book of Mormon. They teach similar principals inspired by God to help us live with integrity and faith. I believe people can change through repentance and faith in the Savior. If they are baptized as Jesus commanded, and receive the constant gift of the Holy Ghost, their lives turn to serving others.

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by serving as the local ward missionary leader. I have spent many years also helping with the youth living nearby by serving as a Boy Scout and a Varsity Team leader. On a weekly basis with others, we visit various households in our neighborhood to offer friendship and information about our LDS beliefs if they like. I have personally been blessed beyond measure with my faith in the Savior Jesus Christ and my associations with the Latter Day Saints. I desire to share these blessing with others, because the gifts of God truly come freely to those who believe in Him.
