Hi I'm J.R.

I Love my wife and 4 girls. I love golf, running, and playing the accordion - but not at the same time! I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love my name because J.R. actually stands for James Robert after both of my Grandfathers. My last name is Martin. My parents are incredible and have continued to lead a strong heritage of love, trust, and service. They are my Christ-like examples! Family time is my favorite. Simply sitting around the dinner table and enjoying each others company. It is always good to come home. Any day for me is a good day to be throwing out a fishing line or teeing it up on the golf course. Running serves as a great outlet for me. I enjoyed running the Boston Marathon and participating in the St. George Iron Man 2010. I love football and basketball. I especially enjoy watching High School and College sports. I serve as a Physician Assistant (P.A.) in the Emergency Department and enjoy my work. I also serve as a Health Coach and help people lose weight and get in better shape. I find fulfillment in both lines of work. I think people are living miracles and evidence of Gods creation. I cherish my girls. We have a ball when we are all together!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon because I feel closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! The Holy Ghost helps me to understand how to live and how to serve. The Book of Mormon lifts my soul and helps my communication with God.

How I live my faith

I love my faith. Recently, I had the opportunity to serve as a religious leader for young single adults from the age of 18 to 25. They are so alive and vibrant. Their energy and talent would breath new life into my soul! Currently, I serve the 16-18 year old young men in our local neighborhood. These young men are also preparing to serve missions for our church. They are strong and faithful. They serve a retirement home and families in our neighborhood. Recently, we went repelling and afterwards how Faith draws some parallels with repelling. I also enjoy taking special interest in a few of the families in our neighborhood and each month we make
