I love being social! I am a cheerleader, I'm in drama, I Love singing, I am a proud member of the FFA! and I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Lacey! I am 17 and a senior in Highschool. The year has been so much fun so far! I made the cheerleading squade, I'm in the school musical, and I am the first vice of our FFA chapter. I have been cheering for around 5 or 6 years now and I love it! I have been singing for as long as I can remember and I have been a member of the FFA sense my freshmen year! My family has always been involved in FFA and I am so happy to be apart of its great legacy. I love FFA and everything it stands for. I love agriculture and being a hard worker. I love being outdoors and being around animals and people! I haved lived on a farm most of my life and I plan on keeping it that way. I want to go to school and major in horticulture or somthing along those lines. I guess the maine thing is I love my life and feel very blessed to have such awesome family and friends that love me and I can sure my interests with.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon pretty much all my life. My dad converted before I was born and my mom converted about 2 or 3 years after I was born. So the gospel has always been apart of my life. But of course I have had to think to myself "is this really true?". I remember being little and the first thing anyone would tell me to do if I had a question was pray and ask with a open heart. also they told me I should read the book of mormon by myself and ask my Heavinly Father if what it says is true. so when I was about 13, I finally finished the book of mormon for the first time. when I knelt down on my knees and asked my father in Heavin if the book was true, I felt this wonderful feeling. I had such a feeling of calm and peace seround me, I felt so warm and happy inside. words really can't express the joy I felt. and even though that happened 4 years ago I still have many similar experiences like that very special one. I often have those sweet moments where somthing happens that I now is no quensidence and I seem to hear this little voice inside my head say " Lacey, I'm thinking about ya, and I love ya." I know our Heavenly Father loves and watches over every single one of us. He does know us personally and wants us to make it back to him. I know the Book of Mormon and the Bible are true and if we live by their teachings it will bring us closer to God and to being truely happy. I love being Mormon. and somtimes being Mormon isn't easy. In school its no secret I am a Mormon and that I am different. I don't cuss, I don't drink or do things that are harmful to my body. I don't dress immodestly and I don't do anything that would be consider unchaiste. A lot of the things that I do are things that not everyone views as being cool and it can be really hard somtimes. But I still love the gospel regardless. I know it is what is going to make me happy and what is going to give me true joy. I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

I love serving the church and those around me. I am counselor over the 16-18y ear old girls at my local I attend and I am a member of the youth committie that helps plan and set up youth activities and dances one a month for the youth of the area. It's a lot of fun! we have learned that we don't have to do things that would make us comprimise our standards to have fun! This way, we can still feel good about what we are doing and have tons of fun at the same time!

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Laceyray
I have done a lot of gardening in my life and it is somthing I truely enjoy. People may think I am crazy but one of the many reasons I love it is because I do feel closer to christ when I do it. I have learned that plants and seeds are alot like faith. It takes work to keep them growing. we just can't a seed and be like "ok seed. Do your thing!" we need to water it, weed it, protect it from pests and other things for it to grow and produce the fruit or veggies we want it to. Faith is just the same way. I have had to learn for myself that faith really does require work and if we want to increase our faith in Jesus Christ we need to be obedient to his teachings. It's not always fun. somtimes we get tired or it feels like we just arn't making any progress. But I know that if we are obedient to his teachings we well gain faith in Jesus Christ. and the reward will be that much sweeter because we gained it all on our own. Show more Show less
