Hi I'm David Alejandro Tapia

My name is David. I love sports. I like to learn about different cultures, including my own. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Mexico. Ever since I can remember I played soccer. When I was 10, I moved from Mexico to the U.S. As a teen I came to practice and watch various sports, among them: soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, long distance running, rugby, mixed-martial arts, gymnastics, swimming, baseball, etc. I play a little bit of piano. I love to spend time with my parents, with my older sister and older brother. Since I moved from Mexico to the U.S. I longed to find out more about my roots and my culture, and I wish to find out more about my ancestors, the way they lived, what kind of people were they and most of all what I can learn about them that will testify to me of God's involvement in His children's lives. I've been through many experiences in my life, and I have come to realize that there is a loving God, who is the Father of our spirits, who sent His Son in the flesh, to help us return to him. I have come to love the knowledge that God provides me with and I'm anxious to use it in a manner that will help others and me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the church, I have been a member all my life. When I was in Middle school, I had bad influences in my life, and after having many bad experiences doing what they did, I turned to the faith of my parents and realized all the happiness I had looked for was right in front of me. I know Jesus Christ and God, the Father of our spirits know me personally, and I invite everyone to look for the communication They long to have with each of us.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward, by teaching the youth and helping the local missionaries. I love the energy the youth have and I try to guide them through good activities that focus on applying and developing christian principles. I try to show love to all that I interact with, and give friendly smiles to all that I meet. I mostly give service in small ways that I feel are meaningful to people. I also apply the teachings of Jesus Christ with my loved ones and I have to say that it has brought me much happiness and relief.
