Hi I'm Maria

I love to cook. I love to dance, I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a registered nurse and have been working in my field for the past 5 years. What I love about working as a nurse is the fact that I get to meet people from all walks of life that maybe otherwise I would not meet. But perhaps what I love the most about my life is having my handsome hubby in it. I have two beautiful kids and hope that we can continue to grow as a family. I love to cook, have playdates, hang out with with family and friends, and of course having dates with the hubby.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old I became less active.. meaning I completly stopped going to church. I thought to myself.. this is my time to experience... to be young. Years went by and with the pass of every year I felt more and more empty or rather like something was missing. I was happy but not happy at the same time. Needless to say Heavenly Father always provides a way for us to find that happiness. In my second year of university the missionaries dropped by our house. They taught us a short lesson and invited my family and I to return to church. Two weeks later I returned to church; my return was hard, it was full of challenges and things that needed to be worked out. But nothing that is worthwhile in this life is easy. Since my return to church 7 years ago I have come to know for myself and understand that I am a daughter of my Father in Heaven. That he loves me more then I could ever know. Because of that love he gave me his only begotten, Jesus the Christ, so that I can return back to his presence. I love my Saviour with all my heart and I stand all amazed for what he has done for me, he suffered so that he can console me in my time of need, so that he may be able to lift my burderns and help me to attain that peace that is only possible through him. Having this in my life means more then anything else in this world. This gospel has given me the life that I live now, one that still has challenges and trials, but one that has and will have the greatest reward in the long run.

How I live my faith

Every second Sunday of the month I get the opportunity to teach the lovely ladies that I go to church with. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity right now because often I am the one that gains the most out it. I get to listen to the input of all the sisters and get to learn from their experience. Other service that I have provided in church before is working with the youth. I was able to work with young women from the age of 12 to 18. I taught the lessons on sundays, participated in activities every week and most of all I got a chance to hang out with them and get to know them in a one to one basis. It was AMAZING :)

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?
