Hi I'm Amber

I have big dreams. I believe in achieving them. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello my name is Amber and I'm from California. I am a college student studying International Relations and I love to learn! I have big dreams to accomplish and I can't wait till I make them happen. I love to travel, exercise, watch movies and spend time with friends and family. FOOD. I love food as well. I love to bake, cook and share with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have chosen to live the gospel, not through the faith of my parents or examples of my family, but because I wanted to know for myself that it was true. Through reading the Book of Mormon the first time I prayed to God to ask if what I was reading was true and a feeling of peace and comfort came over me: I am grateful for that calming feeling given by the Holy Ghost. This Gospel blesses my live each and every day as I try my best to have faith and be the best person I can be. That's one of the things I love most about the church - perfection is not necessary or expected. Yet at the same time we all try to help each other choose the right and progress in this world. I am grateful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am grateful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be a faithful and contributing member of my church. I put on activities and events for my church every week for all members to participate, have fun, and grow together. I love attending church each week, seeing my friends and family, and worshipping the Lord. Participating in activities put on by others is very important to me such as attending choir and service activities.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The Law of Chastity is keeping your body pure and clean and not having sexual relations before marriage. The power to procreate is sacred and given to us by Heavenly Father, but He has commanded us to save that power for the bonds of marriage. After marriage the Law of Chastity applies to being faithful to your spouse, and only having sexual relations with your husband or wife. Keeping the Law of Chastity brings blessings, but the beauty of the Atonement is that those who have broken the law are able to repent and gain forgiveness. Keeping the Law of Chastity will help to keep self-respect, prevent heartache and pain, and strengthen your relationship with your loved one once lawfully wed. Show more Show less
