Hi I'm Thayne Stockman

I love having fun, playing sports, and the gospel. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Utah among family and friends who loved me and did a lot for me. My parents raised me in this church and taught me what i should do. When i turned 14 i stopped listening to everything i was being told about church and the gospel and started to do my owe thing. It did not take long before the consequences of my actions caught up to me, and the relationships and friendships i had were slipping away. I burnt a lot of bridges. By my senior year in high school, due to my choices, i found my self in the wrong crowd and doing the wrong things. My belief of God and his care for me and my personal well being had all but faded. I began to want to find answers and remembered something my brother had said, "if you have questions ask". So i did. It was a long process to start to feel worthy to be loved. As i stopped trying to understand why God loved me and to rather accept it and change from it i began to wonder why God had been so good to me in my life. I have come to learn that it is because i am a son of God. I have the great opportunity now as a full time missionary to share this great knowledge of the Atonement of Christ with the great people of Pennsylvania!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because it is Gods kingdom on the earth today! and because I want to live MY life the way the Lord wants ME to live MY life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by, complying with the will of God in every stage of my life. With the experiences i have had in my life i have always had a problem listening to other people such as my parents when i was a little boy, "don't touch the stove" and i touched it. I live my faith my loving my faith first, i have learned that if i don't love something i most likely will not live it. Trust is a huge thing in my life and i know that i can trust God, and my faith in him and his direction has lead me out of the deepest holes and darkest rooms. I live my faith by trusting in the Lord.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?
