Hi I'm Seth Wilson

I grew up in Damascus, Oregon. I'm the oldest of six boys. I will be serving a mission in Rancagua, Chile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports whenever I can, doing anything competitive gets me going and I love the thrill. I played water polo for four years in high school, and concluded my water polo experience at the Junior Olympics in July 2012. I'm the oldest of six boys, so competition is a constant part of our lives. We can turn the silliest things into a contest just because that's how we work best. I love my brothers and I know that they help me in many ways that I would never have been able to help myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that when people discover this church it brings out a change in their lives that cannot be brought about by anything else out there. One of the biggest things that we look for in our lives is to gain a sense of purpose, and a lot of people are never happy until they gain that sense of purpose. This church has all the answers that are always side-stepped or just flat out avoided. This church is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I have attended church meetings on both sides of the United States and they are the exact same words being preached regardless of where you are. I know this is God's church and that he loves us enouh to share this messae with us, and I am eternally grateful for that.

How I live my faith

Performing service for other people is a crucial part to how I live my faith. We are taught in the scriptures that doing service unto our fellow man is our way of serving God. Being involved with the youth programs in the church, there are always opportunities to serve people with tasks that they may not be able to accomplish themselves. Serving people brings a joy to those who serve, and also to those who receive these services. Our church will host a day of service once a year in our area where we work with the local government to determine projects that they need done. This last year we helped to restore a park that was adjacent to one of our church buildings. The city was incredibly grateful for what we had done for them, and we were thankful for the chance that we had to help with a park that we can all use.
